A central plaza...that's exactly what is missing in American towns. I consider this as a big mistake in the urban American planning. A big shopping mall is not even close to a substitution.

Jose Angel Saez-Diez (Jasdg): Oh! You have commentd out very interesting, Viktor! Here, in Spain and Europe, the towns and cities were constructed and founded around a central Plaza, which is the one that makes the function of collection point of the villa. It is really the center of all the cultural, commercial, social activities! I imagine that much documentation must exist on this subject that must come from the Greek times from and the Roman ones!

Great shot, beautiful colours and clouds. I think the light on the left border should have been cropped.
Jose Angel Saez-Diez (Jasdg): Ok, Louis, you are right, Perhaps the margins to both sides of the arc confuse the taking! smile
ahhh
crisp, colourful, and with lovely contrast
Jose Angel Saez-Diez (Jasdg): Many thanks, Dr! smile
The arch provides a nice frame for the plaza scene. That forested hillside behind the buildings is a lovely natural counterpoint.
Jose Angel Saez-Diez (Jasdg): Many thanks for your detailed comment! smile

Jose Angel Saez-Diez (Jasdg): Ahahh! I see that you have paid attention! This was right after a summer storm, at noon, perhaps for that reason is no people (pssssshh! you do not say it to anybody, but I have eliminated the family who was in the middle of the square) grin
Another beautiful shot of this square. (:o)
Jose Angel Saez-Diez (Jasdg): Many thanks, Rosalyn! smile
